The piece

Seating grown as a single volume.

The lounge chair is a full-scale study of PALMYCO™ as a furniture material. The seat, back and legs grow as one volume in a mould, so there are no joints, only the continuous texture of the fibre and the mycelium that binds it.

It is presented as a prototype. Structural testing and finish options for daily use are part of a development commission, scoped with each client.
